The Mission of the Holland Area Veteran’s Council (HAVC) is to serve as a unified federation of veteran service organizations to seek and promote the goals and objectives of all area veteran organizations for the common good; foster and support the exchange of information and ideas among all veteran oriented organizations; address issues related to the active and veteran personnel of all the uniformed services, as well as their dependents and survivors in the Holland, Michigan area.
In addition, the HAVC shall strive to:
(a) Honor living veterans who have served and those who have died in their service to the United States.
(b) Facilitate and design a memorial that will honor all veterans, both living and deceased in a location where it can be viewed by the public and used by veterans as a place of remembrance.
(c) Wherever and whenever possible, to aid, assist, and provide for the father, mother, or dependents of deceased veterans.
(d) Participate in fraternal and social functions among veterans.
(e) To urge the participation of all members in patriotic functions and such other civic, state, or national affairs as are of particular interest and benefit to veterans.
